Real Shetland Wool
Real Shetland Wool is wool that is sourced exclusively from the Shetland Islands, bought direct from the Shetland Crofters (or sheep farmers) through Jamieson & Smith (Shetland Woolbrokers Ltd) based in Lerwick.
We buy our Real Shetland Wool (RSW) direct from The Real Shetland Company (RSC) who along with the Curtis Wool Direct group of companies purchase the vast majority of wool grown in Shetland. The RSC go to great lengths to make sure that the much sought after brand of RSW goes undiluted, only allowing its use in special product ranges that they feel will enhance the Real Shetland profile.
We are proud to use the 'Three Sheep Logo' on our products. This logo was developed to be able to help identify genuine Real Shetland Wool and is only used in conjunction with pure Real Shetland Wool products. Since its creation, the 'Three Sheep Logo' has become recognized all over the world as the symbol for Real Shetland Wool, so if you see a product pertaining to be Real Shetland without the logo, then it probably isn’t.

Many thanks to Oliver Henry of Jamieson & Smith (Shetland Wool Brokers Ltd) for his photography from the Shetland Isles.
